Cricket handicap system for all playoff matches. Based on the composite rating gap between the two players — the lower-rated player starts with free marks on the listed numbers.

How the handicap works

Compute the composite difference, look up the handicap, apply it to the lower-rated player.

How to apply the handicap on DartConnect

  1. Before starting the match, look up both players' composite ratings on the leaderboard and compute the difference.
  2. Check the table above to find the free marks owed to the lower-rated player.
  3. In DartConnect, start the cricket match as normal. Before the first dart is thrown, manually tap each free mark onto the lower-rated player's scorecard (one tap per mark — e.g. two taps on 20 to place two marks).
  4. Play the match normally. DartConnect will track scoring from there.
Note on MPR: DartConnect will include the free marks in the player's live MPR for the match. We'll recalculate accurate MPR after the tournament by subtracting handicap marks from the raw totals. No action needed from scorekeepers.

Day 1 match handicaps

Handicaps for all Day 1 matches with locked pairings. LB R1 and LB R2 matches are determined by Day 1 results — compute those on the spot from the table above.
